Down Westside Road on Okanagan Lake the Fintry district is outside the city limits of West Kelowna.
DESCRIPTION & LOCATION
The rural community of Fintry has several small enclaves on and above the lake. These communities include Killiney Beach, Valley of the Sun, La Casa Resort, Timber Ridge, Lake Okanagan Resort, Short Creek Valley and a number of other neighbourhoods. This area is popular for vacation home owners as access to the lake is easy and convenient. Cottages and single family homes make up the majority of properties here. Resorts offer fractional ownership opportunities for those interested. As lakefront is a limited resource more luxury and high end homes have been built in this area in recent years.
With a commute of 30 to 40 minutes to downtown Kelowna and 20 to 30 minutes to Vernon it is an ideal location for many residents who don’t mind the drive or simply want more peace and quiet. There is everything available from fractional ownership properties and custom homes on the water to private acreages, many with spectacular views of Okanagan Lake and the valley.

The Fintry area defines the Okanagan summer time lifestyle. With so many vacation homes in the area the summer months are busy with boaters, swimmers and tourists hanging out and having fun lakeside.
Fintry Provincial Park is a big attraction offering camping, hiking, historical buildings and over 2k of waterfront. Seasonal stores and restaurants are available at La Casa Resort just south of the park.
